YouTube TV has launched a major update to its multiview feature, allowing subscribers to create personalized multi-stream layouts for the first time. Users can now "mix and match" any live channels they want, breaking free from pre-set combinations.
YouTube CEO Neal Mohan emphasized that subscribers have "full control to mix and match live streams" to build their ideal viewing experience. The feature supports up to four simultaneous streams that users can arrange as they choose.
This innovation represents a significant advantage over traditional cable services, which typically offer fixed multiview options. Sports fans and news viewers can now customize their experience to follow multiple stories or games simultaneously.
